Ministries
Choir
The Choir Ministry is where faith takes flight through music. We are the voice of the church, dedicated to leading worship, inspiring the congregation, and bringing powerful biblical truths to life through song.
Our mission is simple: to glorify God with musical excellence and heartfelt praise. We sing to prepare hearts, deepen our community's spiritual experience, and support the entire church in its joyful offering of worship.
-
No experience is required—just a desire to serve and a willingness to commit!
-
We rehearse: Tuesdays at 6pm & Sundays before service at 9am
Lend your voice to the harmony. Join us in making a joyful noise!

Reader/Lector
Proclaim the Word.
As a Reader (Lector), you help bring the Scriptures to life! You publicly proclaim the Old Testament, Epistle, and Prayers of the People, drawing the congregation into the sacred story.
-
Be a clear voice for God's Word.
-
Contribute to the heart of our worship.
-
Training provided. Join us!

Alter Guild
Altar Guild: This dedicated ministry prepares the heart of our worship. They ready the vessels and elements for Communion, ensuring reverence and order, and then quietly restore the altar once the service concludes.

Usher
First Impressions. Lasting Service.
We're the face of our church, welcoming all with warmth and hospitality. Ushers ensure a smooth, reverent worship experience by guiding seating, collecting the offering, and assisting those in need.
-
Serve actively.
-
Be the welcome.

Acolytes
Acolytes are dedicated ministers (of any age!) who form the backbone of our worship. They lead the processions, carrying the Cross, torches, and Gospel Book. They also provide vital support during Communion and even step in to save the day (quietly!) when the Priest needs an unexpected hand.

Outreach Ministries

We are an Episcopal Church ministry providing essential housing, healing, and hope to asylum-seekers and their families in need. We surround them with a caring community, professional support, and vital resources like food and English classes as they pursue their legal path to asylum. GSCDC, whose first project while affiliated with the Episcopal Church was Church of the Incarnation's Resurrection House, has an inspiring history and ministry. Its current 10-year development plan is the 2022 I Love Greenville Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit Plan. Vital concern for reorienting the structural components of poverty in the area motivates the plan.

Jersey City Together
For a Stronger Society
Jersey City Together, with members from over 30 congregations and nonprofits, focuses on improving the lives of community members in the areas of education, housing, security, and other local concerns through personal relationships and community action. It is part of New Jersey Together, comprised of local organizations in Hudson, Essex, Morris, and other counties working together on local and statewide issues. A short video about JCT can be accessed here; JCT is also interested in how you might want to be involved; reply on this link. Participants in this work are welcome.

Family Promise of Hudson County enables families that are homeless or threatened with homelessness to stay together (in contrast to the established shelter system) and often leads to family stability more quickly than the traditional system through rapid rehousing emergency shelter, graduate support, and community initiatives. Please visit the website for more information and volunteer or donation opportunities.
